It is sometimes beyond the scope of many small to medium businesses to be able to employ a full-time Health and Safety practitioner, yet under ‘Regulation 7’ of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, businesses of all sizes shall be obliged to have access to a person who has the necessary experience, skills and knowledge to manage the health and safety requirements of the business. FAQs

Usually there will not be any work prior to the course, though this may vary. Full details are available within the course description.

Full attendance is a requirement for all courses. Certificates will be withheld if delegates are absent for any parts of a course.

Generally for private courses hours are usually from 09.00/09.30 to 17.00, Monday to Friday. Hours arranged for corporate courses are negotiable.

The course fees you pay will cover all costs you will need to complete the course.

If accredited and on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) there will be a reference number for the accreditation and you can also check out on the RQF website to confirm this. Individual awarding bodies, if they have the qualification accredited, would also have it on their website.

We normally request corporate payment upon receipt of invoice, allowing 30 days for you to pay. This can be made by BACS or cheque. A remittance advice is required for both payment methods. For any BACS payments, we can accept a remittance advice by post or email. Private delegates are required to pay before course commencement.

Feedback is very important to us as it helps us to provide you with better training in the future. Please use our feedback form where you can share your opinions with us. We take your feedback very seriously and use your comments to adjust/improve the service we provide.

 

We do not offer any kind of bursary fund. There may be government related bursary schemes to assist with training however we are not able to advise on any in particular. Have a look online to see what is available.

All our teachers and instructors are qualified to at least the Certificate in Education level and are some of the most experienced and knowledgeable in the industry. We understand the need for the training that we deliver and therefore focus our attention on our customers at all times, ensuring they have a safe learning experience.

The answer is it depends. We offer a range of courses to suit all levels for people with different objectives. We have tried to be as comprehensive as possible with our course descriptions but if you’re still unsure then our customer service team can point you in the right direction giving you full confidence that your chosen course will meet your needs.

Yes we can. All of our courses can be delivered at your site and at hours to suit you. For example we can match your shift patterns with early starts or late finishes and can even provide training at weekends by special arrangement should you require this.

For in-company training an invoice will be issued after the course completion. Please remember our terms are 30 days. To discuss your specific circumstances please call us to speak to our friendly customers service team. Private delegates are required to pay for their course prior to its start date. If payment has not been received you will be unable to commence the course. In such cases you may be required to pay an administration fee. Please contact us if you are unsure.

Yes, however some of our courses are restricted by Awarding Body requirements for accreditation these will be provided as ‘off the shelf’ training. In other cases Graham Howard Consulting is completely independent when it comes to certification which means we can provide tailor-made/bespoke training and consultancy solutions without any conflict of interest with our third party system certification.

Refunds or transfers can be made if written notice is received with a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the start of the course. All refunds or transfers are subject to an administrative fee. We are unable to offer refunds on cancellations arising from events beyond our control, this includes participant illness, or inability to attend at short notice, adverse weather conditions, transport difficulties or terrorist action. Graham Howard Consulting reserve the right to cancel any course if there are insufficient delegates and in this event will refund fees. Graham Howard Consulting will not be held responsible for any damages incurred as a result of course cancellation.
